The DB3 from STMicroelectronics is a axial leaded DIAC in DO-35 package. This device functions as a trigger diode with a fixed voltage reference and can be used in conjunction with triacs for simplified gate control circuits and as a starting element in fluorescent lamp ballasts.

- Maximum breakover current of 50µA
- Maximum rise time of 2µs
- Operating junction temperature range from - 40°C to 125°C
