The P5040DS-PB is a high-performance computing Evaluation and Development Platform that supports the quad-core 64-bit P5040 device. The board, with its 2.2GHz P5040 processor and rich I/O mix is intended for development of P5040, where its high performance, high-efficiency core and integrated accelerators make it very well suited as a control plane processor.
- Based on the 64-bit e5500 core, offering speeds of 1.8 to 2.2GHz
- DDR3 memory support
- Data path acceleration architecture
- Two x4 PCI express slots
- Two vertical SATA connectors
- Two 10/100/1000 Ethernet ports with no add-in cards
- 20 SerDes lanes running at up to 5GHz
- Can support XAUI-RISER and SGMII-PEX-RISER (expands 10/100/1000 port count to five) option cards
