The Resin Coated AE series actuators feature compact size and a wide variety of shapes for applications such as ultra-fine positioning mechanism and drive sources. KEMET's multilayer piezoelectric actuators are produced based on our unique element structure design and piezoelectric ceramic materials with high electrostrictive factors. Compared to conventional piezoelectric actuators, they are smaller in size but can generate higher displacements and forces at low voltages.

• Large generated force of 3,500 N/cm2
• Operating temperature range from -25°C to +85°C
• High-speed response: driving up to about 1/3 of self-resonant frequency (in several ten kHz)
• Low power consumption: can be retained at the leakage current state of 100 μA or less
