AD7961BCPZ-RL7 is a 16bit, 5MSPS, charge redistribution successive approximation (SAR), analogue-to-digital converter (ADC). The SAR architecture allows unmatched performance both in noise and linearity. It contains a low power, high speed, 16bit sampling ADC, an internal conversion clock, and an internal reference buffer. On the CNV±edge, this device samples the voltage difference between the IN+ and IN- pins. The voltages on these pins swing in opposite phases between 0V and 4.096V and between 0V and 5V. The reference voltage is applied to the part externally. It is used in applications such as digital imaging systems, digital X-rays, computed tomography, IR cameras, MRI gradient control, high-speed data acquisition, spectroscopy, and test equipment.

- 28MHz typical -3dB input bandwidth at (VDD1 = 5V; VDD2 = 1.8V; VIO = 1.8V)
- Power dissipation is 46.5mW typ at (converting: internal reference buffer disabled)
- SAR architecture, no latency/pipeline delay, serial LVDS interface
- Operating temperature range from -40°C to +85°C, 32-lead LFCSP-WQ package
